Mary Eleftorea Behlar is the master perfumer and owner of Bourbon French Parfums, a New Orleans treasure whose roots trace back to 1843. Gifted with “le nez” — the intuitive ability to craft and discern fine fragrances — Mary continues the legacy of hand-blended, small-batch perfumes created with imagination, intention, and timeless technique.
Since acquiring the perfumery in 1991, Mary has developed beloved scents such as Sesquessence, La Pluie, Jardin de Cour, Antonis, and Eleftorea, honoring both personal stories and the spirit of tradition.
